This print features the Birth Flower of October, Cosmos. The print is available to include the handdrawn word ‘October’ or as a blank print and includes a card that has information about the history and symbolic meanings around the flower.

The card says; ‘The birth flower of October, Cosmos flowers are known to symbolise harmony, peace, and balance, which is reflected in the Greek word “kosmos,” meaning “order” or “harmony.” This symbolism comes from the harmonious arrangement of their petals and their ability to create a sense of tranquility and serenity in the garden.

Native to Mexico, the annual flowers are daisy-like and sit atop long, thin stems that can grow up to 6 feet tall. The colorful petals radiate from a yellow centre.

It was once thought that cosmos could also attract fairies to gardens.’
